Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced engineer for our growing service division. We provide Central London’s creative sector with the highest level of support and the technology to help them produce some of the world’s finest creative work. The products we work with range from sophisticated colour-managed workflow solutions to studio level printers and office multi-functional devices (MFDs). The job is a real mix of mechanical and electrical engineering, IT integration and client handling skills.
We want you to…
- Help in all aspects of the service division, wherever you can.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure optimum performance and prevent future issues.
- Respond promptly to client requests for field visits, troubleshooting issues and rectifying any faults.
- Provide remote assistance, diagnosing and rectifying faults by phone and remote support apps.
- Install and integrate – Offer pre-sales support to deliver the best solution. Logistics planning of installing hardware and software. Building and integrating systems into clients’ networks.
- Back-up and recovery – Ensure clients’ data/configurations are backed up and up-to-date. Gain knowledge of best approaches to restore this information.
- Learn colour management – Skilled approach to ensuring equipment is producing colour accurately.
- Utilising software and tools to manage colour across devices, operating systems and applications.
- Get to know our clients – Communication with clients on a social, as well as professional level is a key feature to sustaining and growing business.
What we need…
- We need an experienced engineer, keen to learn anything new thrown at them, especially IT systems that are constantly evolving. A keen learner, who is always looking to broaden their skill set. You must be a first-rate communication, be dynamic, be willing to help and be able to adapt. You must be presentable in a business environment.
- You should be trained and have proven experience on either Xerox or Cannon range of devices, up to light production level. We would also hope for some Fiery experience or alternative software RIPs.
- You should know about all aspects of electro-mechanical diagnosis and repair. You should also understand the science of colour printing and colour management.
- Most importantly, should you know how to “fix the client”. Client handling skills are of paramount importance in our industry and your skills at making people feel looked after will be second to none.
- Expertise in either connectivity, managed networks or IT sales is essential.
- Expertise in either managed print, AV or security is desirable.
- An understanding of outreach campaigns.
- A strong understanding of Hubspot for opportunity management, pipeline and performance reporting.
- Cyber security.
- IT solutions with an emphasis on cloud architecture.
- Proptech – MSI capable.
