The Scenario
Revolt London, had outgrown their managed office space and chose independence with a multi-storey unit in Hatton Garden. Transitioning from a serviced office, they relied on us for our meeting room technology expertise. The iwGROUP team designed and installed bespoke meeting room AV, distributed audio and media editing. In addition, we also provided the most appropriate connectivity, network, WiFi and security (virtual and physical), specifically tailored for the meeting rooms and large communical presentation space.
Albeit with a tight timeline, we swiftly executed a flexible project and procurement cycle.
The Solution
With the Revolt London ethos firmly in mind, our comprehensive design considered both the space layout and its intended use.
Security concerns were addressed with Juniper Mist’s Cloud First networking & WiFi solutions with secure VPN. Integrated Rhombus CCTV and Kisi Access Control allowed flexible, secure access to the site. Remotely viewable CCTV feeds of each access area provide data, which is stored in the cloud.
A bespoke distributed audio system was specified alongside a large open-plan presentation suite. Passively, the audio system can be used for public announcement (PA) and/or streaming ambient music. Actively, it can be tied into the presentation equipment to stream audio site-wide for company events.
To consolidate Revolt London’s server estate and ease collaboration for their remote and office-based teams, we carried out a data evaluation and documentation of their on-premise stored files. Legacy data was archived and live data moved to LucidLink, therefore enabling secure, real-time collaboration on all Revolt London’s projects from geographically distributed teams.
Spotlight
The site had no incumbent internet connection for Revolt London to inherit. They opted for a 1Gbps Ethernet connection via iwGROUP. The 30 day time frame from inception to completion, therefore gave us a small window to get the connection installed, tested & working.
By working simultaneously with Revolt London, we got orders issued to Openreach particularly early. The full install took only 28 working days, so significantly faster than the 17 working days industry average.
The Outcome
In conclusion, Revolt London vacated their prior office on the date agreed, saving them rental costs and late exit penalties. All services were installed on time and to specification, with iwGROUP installation teams working around the clock to meet deadlines. The additional desk and collaboration space has enabled staff working from external co-working sites to return to the new office. The revolutionising of Revolt’s online collaboration processes and methods has significantly promoted their hybrid working ethos.
Update 2024
Subsequently, a recent merger with Anthesis, has led to the expansion of Revolt’s London office space. This presented us with an opportunity to seamlessly integrate further technologies on new floors, which included IT support, Wi-Fi, connectivity, security solutions, and AV designs.
Leveraging Logitech Rally Bars, Swytch and Mic Pods, we’ve crafted an elevated AV experience. This fusion of these video conferencing technologies complements the aesthetics of this superb space and also offers scalable solutions that adapt to evolving needs.
